  1. Anusuiya Uikey sworn in as 18th Governor of Manipur on 22 February, 2023. 
  2. The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on 22 February 2023, has approved the extension of the term of the Twenty-second Law Commission of India upto 31 August, 2024.
  3. On 22 February 2023, former Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission secretary-cum-scientific director Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi has been appointed as the new Drug Controller General of India (DCGI).  
  4. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), an aerospace company in India, and EDGE, the top defence company in the UAE, inked a Memorandum of Understanding at the International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX). 
  5. External Affairs Ministry’s annual flagship event on Geoeconomics, Asia Economic Dialogue begins in Pune, Maharashtra on 23 February, 2023. 
  6. National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on 22 February 2023, announced the use of phosphor-gypsum waste material in the construction of national highways. 
  7. The ‘mPassport Police App’, developed by the consular, passport and visa division of the External Affairs Ministry for law enforcement agencies, is being rolled out along with 350 tablets to personnel of the Special Branch of Delhi Police.  
  8. The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has approved the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW). 
  9. HDFC Bank and UAE-based financial services company Lulu Exchange, have partnered to strengthen cross-border payments between India and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. 
  10. In commemoration of India’s late Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, a bell named ‘Bipin Bell’, has been placed at Nepal’s revered Hindu temple in Mustang district, Shree Muktinath Temple.  
  11. Malabar multilateral naval exercise will be hosted by Australia for the first time in 2023, which includes participation from India, Australia, Japan, and the United States. 
  12. The Union Cabinet on 22 February 2023, approved the signing of an air services agreement between India and Guyana that will pave the way for flight services between the two countries. 
  13. The world no. 2 tennis player, Carlos Alcaraz defeated Cameron Norrie in the final to win the Argentina Open title. 
  14. Anil Agarwal-led Vedanta and manufacturing giant Foxconn announced their joint venture’s plans to build a semiconductor and display manufacturing facility in Gujarat’s Dholera Special Investment Zone. 
  15. Indian Railways is set to launch Guru Kirpa Yatra from 5 April, 2023 from Lucknow with its exclusive Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train. 
  16. Padma Bhushan awardee Dr Kanak Rele, a world-renowned dancer and Mohiniyattam exponent, passed away on 22 February, 2023 at the age of 85 in Mumbai.
